Page Speed
How fast a page loads and becomes interactive. A composite ranking factor and a major conversion factor.
Page speed is measured by Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), Time to First Byte, Speed Index, and similar metrics. Faster pages rank higher and convert better.
For local businesses on Astro, WordPress, or similar platforms, the easiest wins are: optimized images (WebP/AVIF, properly sized, lazy-loaded), minimized JavaScript, fewer third-party scripts, and a CDN.
