LCP (Largest Contentful Paint)

The time from page navigation start until the largest visible content element finishes rendering.

LCP measures perceived loading speed. The "largest contentful element" is typically a hero image, a large heading, or a video. Good LCP is under 2.5 seconds; needs improvement is 2.5–4.0; poor is over 4.0.

Common LCP fixes: optimize hero images, preload critical resources, reduce render-blocking JavaScript, use a CDN, switch to faster hosting.
