Local citations are the listings of a business on directories, association sites, and local resource pages. The strongest local citations come from chambers of commerce, BBB, industry trade associations, manufacturer-certified contractor lists, and regional business directories.
The lowest-value citations are SEO-aggregator directories that no real customer would use. A small number of high-quality citations beats a large number of low-quality ones.
