Service-Area Page

A page on a local business website dedicated to a specific city, neighborhood, or ZIP within the service area.

Service-area pages target geographic queries like "[service] in [city]." Done well, each page has city-specific content, named neighborhoods and landmarks, local proof, and structured data with the city as the areaServed.

Done poorly, service-area pages are templated copies with the city name swapped and nothing else changed. Engines detect templated thin pages and rank them accordingly. The threshold for a useful service-area page: it could not be reused for another city without rewriting.
