Pillar Page

A long-form, comprehensive page covering a topic in depth, typically anchoring a hub-and-spoke content structure.

Pillar pages are the foundation of topical authority. A pillar page covers a broad topic comprehensively (typically 2,000+ words) and links out to supporting pages on narrower sub-topics. The supporting pages link back to the pillar.

The structure signals topic mastery to both Google and AI engines. Sites with a few strong pillar pages tend to outrank sites with many shallow pages.
